BeadBox Jewellery Making Workshop
Wednesday - December 3 - 7-9pm
Beresford Square
Our last BeadBox night was so popular (with lots of keen people missing out) that we've decided to hold another one at the beginning on December. Come along and have a go at making beautiful beaded jewellery with the help of the lovely staff at BeadBox. BeadBox has a huge variety of beads to choose from, and can provide tonnes of design ideas. No beading experience necessary.
Cost is $10 base fee, plus materials on the night. To be fair to BeadBox, please do not bring your own beads from home.
Christmas BBQ
Sunday - December 14 - from 4pm
Mission Bay Beach
The Social Butterfly Christmas BBQ. Partners, friends, family ALL WELCOME. This is a free event - just bring along whatever you want to eat and drink and enjoy it in the great company of the other Social Butterfly members and co. Barbecues are available to use.
No bookings necessary but it would be great if you could let me know if you are coming or not so that I have an idea of numbers. Please bring a present worth $5 or less for Secret Santa. Each person in your group needs to bring one so that we have enough to go around.

Our usual movie night routine of the movie then a coffee/hot chocolate and a chat :). $20 each (includes ticket and hot drink). This month's movie is 'Four Holidays'.

Social Butterfly 'Round the Bays' team

Tamaki Drive
We are on a mission to get every single (that will mean upwards of 200 people) Social Butterfly member involved in the 2009 Round the Bays fun run/walk. For those of you unfamiliar with this event, it is a charity 8km run/walk from downtown along the waterfront to St Heliers beach. Thousands and thousands of people get involved, most of them as part of teams. How cool would it be to get all 200 Social Butterfly chicks together for the first time ever(!!) to compete in this famous event. Entry will be $45 and will include: your event ticket, a purple SB t-shirt (a generic one so you can wear it again without feeling silly) and a picnic lunch on the beach after the race. We will have a walking team and a jogging/running team but you can decide this on the day if you wish.
Please note that you do not have to be super fit for this event - you just need to be able to comfortably walk 8km.
We will be cutting off bookings earlier than usual for this event as it will take some time to organise. Please have your bookings in by February 20th.
Doing this event as part of a team is SO much more fun than doing it individually, and I encourage you all to get involved and help us get the whole member base together for one huuuge event :):).
